Whatta fabu-lous-soooo summer we had!!! Hence the absence of blogging! We went and did a ton of stuff, we enjoyed nature, we enjoyed friends and family, we stayed up late and woke up later. This summer meant a lot to me, and I think to my kiddos. Now we are back to reality of life. And school! The kids are ALL doing good, which has been a big relief to me. They have wonderful teachers, and friends. SO life is good at the moment! :)

Christmas!

Well I think that I get the bad mommy award. I only got 3 pictures total on Christmas day. I know I don't go anywhere without the darn camera, and yet here I am with only three photo's! I am in shock! We are going to my dad's house on New Years day to take some pic's with them, but it is still not the same. Here they are-in all their glory.

McKay Paul has arrived!

We have two babies due this month, and Friday nite we got a call that one had arrived. Kelli, T-Rav's sis, had her baby boy about 6:30pm. He is just a little peanut baby. 5lbs. 15 oz. the exact same weight as our little Lon-dino. He even looks a bit like his cousin. He has loads of brown hair. He is just the cutest little guy. We took dinner to their family tonight I got to hold him, and he actually stopped crying when I was holding him. It made me feel really good! Now we are waiting for word on when our little niece Jersey will make her grand debut!

Santa!

We were out doing a little shopping on Saturday, we went into Deseret Book to pick something up, and wouldn't you know it St. Nick was visiting! He was a good Santa, he even sold us his latest book. "The Night Before Christmas A Visit from St. Nicholas" he autographed it for us. Since we weren't planning on seeing the big guy, we had to take a picture with our cell phone. So it lacks quality, but it saved the memory and now the pressure is off as to taking the kids to see him at the mall, where they pressure you into buying ridiculous priced photo's, and waiting in a long line. Hope you all are having a good holiday season, and enjoying all the wonder and magic that only exists this time of year!

Temple Square!

Man this year we are getting this christmas thing handled! Tonight for FHE we took the kiddos downtown for the annual trip to the temple lights. It was great. It wasn't too cold, not too crowded and perfectly beautiful!

Christmas Cookies and Holiday hearts!

I am ready for Christmas, bring it on! I am actually excited for this holiday this year! This is huge for me. Last year I think that I bawled the entire month of December. My face hurt from crying, and this year starting with Thanksgiving I feel the joy that this holiday brings. Trav and I went out the day after Thanksgiving and really busted out the shopping I am just about done. I can focus on getting things wrapped and taken care of, that is an awesome feeling. Much better than last year waiting for somehow all of it to get done, and then realizing that it wasn't happening without me or some kind of miracle. I got a miracle in help from my ward. Plus last year, I didn't have any memory to go from. This year I have one year under my belt, so I am feeling a lot more confident. And that feels pretty darn good! BTW I am sending out my christmas cards and if you aren't sure if I have your address will you please leave me a comment with your e-mail and I can e-mail you to get your address! Love ya All!!!

Fun at the Aquarium

Well we headed to the aquarium last Saturday. The place where T-Rav is taking Ju-Jitzu was doing a special event at The Living Aquarium. So we went to support them. B-98.7 was there and Nater won a Kung-Fu Panda DVD. Plus the kidds got there faces painted. We had a good time. London was the only kid who would touch the manta-ray, which felt soft and slimy and squishy. All the kids did touch a star fish and loved the cute little sea horses.

Grandpa and London enjoyed a spooky fun spongebob pumpkin!

Hi-Tea

On Saturday, Gran and Grandpa took me and the girls to the Grand America afternoon tea. It was a part of their present to the Brooke-mister. We had a wonderful time. Carol, her mom, me and my girlies started out, with a surprise apperance by grandpa. As we were seated they had a flower bulb in a wine glass, they added hot water and we watched the beautiful bulb open up into a lovely tea flower. My dad had the harpist play Brooke a special song, and they brought her a big beautiful piece of chocolate cake which she shared with Trav and Nate later. It was a great way to celebrate her special birthday!

My sweet girl!

I can't even believe that my sweet Brooke Bear is getting baptised! She is very excited, and she looks like an angel in her dress. I am so proud of her and the good choices she makes. She is so caring and kind to her family and friends. Her day is Saturday November 1, 2008 at 4:00pm. Please come if you can, the more the better. I am still working on putting together a musical number for this event. My heart swells with pride when I look at her. I am truly blessed to be her mom! Enjoy looking at her photo shoot-I had a blast putting this together for her. Sometimes there are pay days as moms and today is one!

Grandpa Rocks!

On Friday nite, my dad had the opportunity to teach a stick class at Riverton Martial Arts. Our family tagged along and Trav and London got to get into the action. A great way to spend an evening. Way to go dad! Carol's friend Staci, her boyfriend owns the studio, they are both so nice and we are very excited to have met them. We look forward to getting to hang out with them more!

Fab-u-los Friday!

Next up came Friday, What were we to do? Sarah let us tag along with her to the park! The kids had a great time with their cousins and the fresh air was perfect to just hang out. Thanks Sarah!

Fall Recess

Well 4 days out of school, oh my. What are we to do? Well thankfully the days filled up with help from family and friends. On Thursday my kids got to go to Build-A-Bear, as payment for all the work they did getting my dad's house ready to be sold. The kids had a wonderful time. They came out of there with awesome bears. Thanks Dad and Carol!

The Blogging World Just Scored!!

I am absoluetly so happy to break news of this fabulous development. My cute friend Brenda has taken the leap into the blogging world. She wasn't gonna come without a fight but we won her over in the end. She is so very talented and blogging is one of the best way to show off talents. I am so happy that she has decided to take a few minutes to let us in. She is one of my most favorite people. Without her help there is NO way that I could be doing this whole PTA thing. I admire her and I learn a lot from her. We are the lucky ones!

What the Heck!

Ok well I have had up to here with being SICK! My kidney infection came back last week, with a vengence. So far I have had six days of the IV antibotics,(For which I am grateful for)but I am truly wanting this whole thing to be done. Luckily the doctor finially agreed to give me home care so my awesome family could help me out. Part of the whole exhustion in all this is waiting to be seen every time I have to go and be hooked up. Yesterday I got to stay on my nice couch and London and Travis took turns giving me the goods. Here are a few pics of the event that has taken over my life. Hopefully this time they will get every bit of this infection and I can just get on with my life. Everyone that I talk to has to make sure that I am driniking water so for everyones 411 YES I am drinking water! No one really knows why I can't kick this. Hopefully 7 days of the Iv antibotics should do the trick! London had a blast getting to be the nurse. She thought it was soo cool-I am glad someone is having fun!

Conference Time!

Alright we just had a good conference weekend. It is always nice to re-focus your efforts to what really matters. My favorite talk came from Saturday afternoon. One of my absolute favorite speakers is Joseph B. Wirthlin. He can talk with such ease that you forget it is a sermon and effortlessly listen to his gentle counsel. The message was received in my heart "Come what may-and love it!". This wise counsel is just what I needed to be reminded of in these turbulent times. These are last days and we will have rough times BUT we will have good times. This is what we came here to do, have joy. So may we all take what comes and love it!

A few more join the pack!

Last night when I went to my mom-in-laws for the priesthood session I got a huge SURPRISE! Two more of my sisters-in-laws are now bloggers. I am beyond excited that we can be even more connected! With everyones families busier than eVeR I love this way of staying up to date on all the happenings. They are still unsure how they feel about all this techno stuff, but I have no doubt that before long they will feel the blog bug that is sweeping families across the globe. I love you gals, Janie and Steph. Just a funny side note as we were setting Steph's up her first picked background was bLaCk. Very funny if you have read previous posts of mine ribbing her for always wearing/buying black clothes and dresses. We had a good laugh and then we changed to something eles. To Funny for me!

Picture Day!

Well you know with having two beautiful girls picture day has already taken on a whole new meaning. First my sweet little Brooke wanted curly hair, hers is stick straight, I thought no problem. Whoa, after an hour of non-stop hairspraying and two curling irons going we still had limp slightly wavvvy hair. Apparently her hair didn't want curls and so it just wouldn't hold them. I pinned a few in ( I wish I could have gotten the picture but I simply ran out of time with all the hairspraying and curling) but I will be surprised if the picture turns out. London's hair went curly like instantly-no troubles. Nate my sweet guy hates to have his hair combed, so I keep it short. Last night Trav helped me out and cut his hair for me, I walk outside just as T swipes it right down the middle with a 2. I wouldn't have gone that short the day before pictures. He wasn't expecting it to be soooo short. I asked Trav why a 2, he said "it was the first attachment I grabbed." These kind of descions should probably be a bit more thought out and maybe we don't start with the first cut being right down the front center. Any how he is a cute kid who looks great no matter what his hair looks like. On the flip side of that when I was cutting Trav's hair I was talking at the end and took a swipe with the 3 attachment, honestly I didn't mean for that I was just "evening it up" and then we had to do the 3 all over. So I guess we won't need to cut the boys hair any time soon. All of this for the "picture day"!

My Man-Tastic Little Guy!

Ok-I know that I am crazy about these kids of mine. But my little guy Nate is truly one of my heroes. He just earned his wolf in his cub scouts. He has enough for his bear award but isn't old enough yet. But that said he has been a go-getter with this scout stuff. He always wants to work on his book and I am VERY proud of his dedication. My kiddo's started soccer this week. All in all not bad, I did however get in a lttle tussel with Nate's coach the 1st game. He was screaming at these little guys. This is rec ball not a competitive league. We were told at the orientaion that this is to get kids exposed to the sport and encourage good sportsmanship. Well with the coach screamming at them the whole time-anytime the ball got away from them or if they missed kicking a goal-I had had enough so I told him to knock it off and help the kids not scream at them. He was VERY avended by this. So I may need to change Nate's team. I do feel bad because I didn't mean to cause such problems. but I did, so hopefully I can make it right becacuse Nate loves this sport and he is good at it. Live and Learn!

What a Relief!

Well I made it!!!!It was a very LONG two days BUT it was a huge success! We had a much better turnout than expected and everyone that came had a great time! Jo, our school principle, thinks that we need to do this every year, as a way to strength our community. Lot's people came out from my ward and stake and I appreciate their support. A lot of people didn't give this a fair shot, but the ones that did are the ones who care about making our area into a community. Here are a few photo's. Again Thanks to everyone who supported this event! The winners in this, are the kids!

The Insanity!

Well we are down to the wire!! Tomorrow all my blood, sweat and tears will be done. Our PTA has been working since last April to put together our fundraiser. A 5k and carnival. Unfortunately we didn't make as much money as I had hoped, but it is not from lack of work on our part. We had many things working against us. BUT if you focus on what we did do it is pretty incredible. I think everyone who comes out will have a fabulous time. The kids are so excited and they have had fun promoting it and talking about it so I couldn't be happier! I will let ya all know what comes of tomorrow and have some photo's! I will keep you posted!@!!

Big Buddah!

The long awaited day came. It was really awesome. We had a ton of kids show up, which was quite amazing considering we had to have them there at 6:00am!! Yes that is just an assault on everyone. But none the less they were little troopers and I hope they had a good time. We tried to give Big Buddah one of our PTA shirts, we had a 3XL for him. No way, he is a 5XL. So we gave hime the shirt but not on the air. Anyways here are some fun photo's!

TV Fun!

On Friday we got to go to GOOD THINGS UTAH! Nate, Jake and Brenda had the opportunity to appear on the show to promote our school's Hero program and our school's 5k fundraiser. Everyone did a fantastic job. I appreciate them all being so willing to do that. There is no way I could have gone on with my speech problems. So Thanks you guys!

My dad's girls!

All this is my dad's posterity! who would have thought!

Snowbird fun!

Well to cap off the weekend of fun-my family got together at October Fest. My sweet Mom-in-law Carol had her b-day on Sept. 7th. She is very generous and wanted to reunite my dad and my sister, so we all met and went up the canyon to the festival. Her son Aaron and his new bride Lindsey came along making us one big happy famalee! I so love these guys. Here are some of the photo's. We took these at the top of the mountain after you ride the tram up. Which was a new experience. It was a bit scary at times but no harm no foul and we made it. Aaron is a big time skier and so he had lots of stories to keep us all entertained. i love Carol and Aaron and Lindsey so much and i am very great-ful they are my family now. I am so happy for my dad and his finance. She completes' my dad. I love them both. Thanks again for the fun-tastic time we had!

Happy Anniversary Babe!

Well we did it! Another year!! Who-hoo! Trav and I weren't sure how to celebrate this one. SO we decided to do somethinng at home with our kids. Trav and the kids were going to make me dinner and watch our wedding video. I still haven't seen it since the accident. Because we haven't had a VCR, but with my dad moving he had one and gave it to us. So the plann was made. BUT at the last minute Trav's work surprised us with a room at Park City-Club Lepris. Which was fabulous! But the kids were still excited to be included. So we thought we would bring them along. So we took some fun pics with the kids. They are Cra-zy. Then my dad and his wonderful fiance carol, offered to have the kids stay the nite with them. The kids had a blast. And me and Trav got a night alone. So everyone wins! I love it when that happens. Trav is so kind to me and I really appreciate all that he does for me and our kids. He is an incredible husband and father, who I really look up to. He never complains about me or our situation. I am a very lucky girl! I love you Travis and I am very Glad to be your girl. She-rav as the guys at work call me fits me just fine to go along with my T-Rav!

5K Fun

Ok well it's almost time for the 5K fundraiser we have been planning for months. It's crunch time where there is so much to do it hurts. Likely I have amazing people helping do most of it. Brenda has put so much work into this thing. There is so much that I don't understand, and am slow to do, but Bren always pitch hits for me. There is no way I could be involved with PTA at this level with out her. I seriously had no idea all the stuff that went along with PTA president. I looked at it very one sided and thought sure I can try that. Time has a way of teaching the lessons and I have learned. Anyways anyone out there who can come and participate with us, you can leave me a comment and I can e-mail you the link to register on-line. Again Thanks Bren for setting that up! I am very fortunate for compassionate people who have come into my life. I know that this is a blessing of my Heavenly Father. There have been many people who came my way at just the right time and I know that was no acciednt. I love ya all! Thanks for reading and commenting on this hobby of mine. Sorry about all the errors-sometimes I forget to spell check these posts, bear with me!

Budah-licious!

I am so excited!!!!!I have been e-mailing Big Budah, from Fox 13, for a while and on Friday we got the word that he is coming to our school!!!!Yeah! I love Budah, he is so funny and I think that the kids at our school will really enjoy getting to be on TV. The hard part of this is that we need the kids to show up at school around 6am. So I have logicistics to work out. But none-the-less, it really will give our 5k a good boast of attention. So on wednesday Sept. 17th between 6 and 9 watch Fox 13 to see our "Cool School"!

Clarification!

Ok, I missed some details with getting it out of my head and onto the computer. Firstly, My dad AND Carol gave me my new bike. Which I LOVE solo much! Thanks you guys, and the bike that came for Mr. Nate's b-day also came from BOTH of them. Everyone knows of my love for this sweet lady, who has been gently ease my dad into grandpahood. I am so happy to have this angel from the heavens in our family. My kids are as much in love with Gran Carol as I am. I feel like a real idiot that I messed up in getting it all posted! I will have a picture soon of Carol, I took one last weekend at her son Aaron's wedding, but the sun was blazing and eyes were closed so I am waiting until I get a great pic of the two of them so you can all see who we talk about all the time. Anyways, THANKS Carol and dad for being so generous with me and my family. I love you both!!!Lots!!!!

Congrats!

My sister-in-law Steph, lover of black, is having a baby!!!! Yeah! I am so happy for them. They deserve all the happiness in the world as they welcome baby number 3! She finally broke down and told us last night. So Congratulations! She never did buy a color dress-but I think I can let her off the hook for now. She has better things to think about than dresses. Any ways I am so excited Steph! We love YA! Thanks to my neice Hadley for telling us-I owe her!

It happens to the best of us!

Another amazing event that we had this weekend was, our nephew Bridger was baptized! We are soo proud of him. It takes courage and strength to find the gospel at an older age, and Bridger has both. Our families prayers were answered when he recieved a testimony and was baptised. It was one of the most spiritual events I have been too. What a blessing it was to be there and share this with him. It makes me wish that I could remember my own baptism, if any of you out there can, please leave me a comment about what you recall. It would mean a lot to me. Anyhow Bridger I love ya and I admire your courage. This will bless many.

Enjoy our 5k Pics!
