Whatta fabu-lous-soooo summer we had!!! Hence the absence of blogging! We went and did a ton of stuff, we enjoyed nature, we enjoyed friends and family, we stayed up late and woke up later. This summer meant a lot to me, and I think to my kiddos. Now we are back to reality of life. And school! The kids are ALL doing good, which has been a big relief to me. They have wonderful teachers, and friends. SO life is good at the moment! :)

The Birthday Boy!

Well my little man turned 9 on August 15th! I cannot believe it! He is a wonderful kid and I am very proud of him. He makes good choices and helps me a lot with the girls. I admire his intelligence and kindness. For his present from my dad and Carol he got a NEW BICYCLE! We are kind of having a bike kind of year, but it is an awesome red mongoose bike. Thanks you guys, for being so generous. We got him Legos, his favorite thing in this world next to the WII, and all in all I think he had a really great day! Nate, I love ya and you are awesome!

Say What?

Yes, with the Olympics come LOTS and LOTS of stupid comments. Soo funny, so i was thinking that if you out there hear anything that sticks in your mind, leave me a comment about it and we can laugh together. Some funny ones I heard "You have to let them beat you to win" and "If she came here to win she better start showing it" wow! It amazes me that these newscasters even have jobs with comments like that. I personally believe that ALL of the competitors came to win hence the name "Olympics" and I bet they all are trying to WIN-anyways leave me your thoughts and we can blog about this!

I have a cute little sister-in-law,who had a birthday on Saturday! Happy Birthday Steph! We had a family reunion that morning and she said that her and her hubby were going shopping for a present. She mentioned that most likely the gift would be a new dress. Well I am always glad to hear that shopping is going on, BUT my sweet little sister-in-law always buys BLACK! I do love black myself but I think that she would look sososososo cute in a color dress. And I don't think that she ever buys color dresses. So I asked Steve to try and not buy her black. He said that he would do his best-I still haven't heard on the verdict. SO Steph if you did get one with color I would love to know, and if not than I will keep this on my blog until that all important step is taken. We can embrace color. It is our friend! Don't be afraid! Let me know. Anyone who knows the color of the dress please comment and help me out. I will get to the bottom of this but any help would be appreciated! I love ya Steph!

Me and My Gang!

We were having some fun on Thursday nite. For my birthday my dad and Carol got me a new bike, and while it has been a rough learning curve. I think i finally mastered it! My dad told me that I had muscle memory, well I am here to say that muscle memory is a myth. It doesn't exist. But after some help from Trav, I finally got it. And by helping me out yes I mean running behind my bike holding the seat until I could balance it by myself. And just like our kids it does eventually work and I too can ride my bike! Now ringing the bell is something that I haven't quite gotten the hang of while riding but it's coming, it's coming!

Raging Waters!

Well last night, we went to Raging waters for our kids birthdays. We thought would do one giagantic party for all three of them. It was a blast. We invited all of Trav's family and a few friends. We had 40 people in all. Thanks everyone who came! As we were about to leave Trav and 2 of his brothers went on one last slide. The Serpatine slides. There are 3 slides, so each brother picked a slide. Trav had a rough ride down and when he got to the bottom he flew off with such force, he popped out of the water with a bloody head. He scraped (scalped) his head on the bottom of the pool where it all ends. I put the pic so you could all check this out. It took his hair clean off. But again we were lucky, it could have been worse. It just goes to say if you have Trav is in your group, your chances of getting injured go way down. It probably be him! Anyways we all laughed and in the end he was ok, so as they say "no harm, no foul!"

Enjoy our 5k Pics!
